About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ergonomics Specialist to join our team at Alcon. As an Early Intervention/Health & Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in building upon our site's ergonomic program and procedures to recognize, evaluate, and control ergonomic hazards.

Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate and lead site ergonomic and early intervention programs, as well as Safety Incident Management & Reporting programs. You will promote a sustainable and balanced HSE/Wellness culture within the facility and co-facilitate the facility HSE/Wellness Committees/First Aid Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ergonomic programs to prevent Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs)
  • Investigate and report Health, Safety, or Environmental (HSE) incidents, including occupational illnesses, injuries, and fatalities
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and assist management in HSE program initiation, implementation, and maintenance
  • Participate in developing applicable goals and objectives for the business unit or facility regarding continual improvement in HSE
  • Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of applicable governmental responsibilities and records required of the facility, specific to safety and environmental activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Travel Requirements: 5%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Ergonomist
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour Certification
  • HAZWOPER Training
  • Experience with OSHA Recordkeeping and Worker Compensation
  • Experience with Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
