Transformative Care for Cancer Patients

City of Hope is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team in providing exceptional care to oncology patients across the adult and geriatric spectrum. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will deliver patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, demonstrating a high level of competency in malignant hematology and stem cell transplantation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients receiving cellular therapies, addressing their physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure effective assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, delegating tasks as necessary to Patient Care Technicians and other team members.
  • Adhere to hospital and department infection control policies, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in Cellular Therapy (Stem Cell Transplant and/or Immune Effector Cell), or as deemed qualified by Cellular Therapy Leadership.
  • Education: BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
  • Licensure: Georgia Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License from a Compact State.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification, and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in Cellular Therapy (Stem Cell Transplant and/or Immune Effector Cell).
  • Certification: Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN).
  • Special Skills: Oncology.
