Job Description:


  • Deliver high-quality patient care by performing the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
  • Provide patient-centered care that considers populationspecific characteristics, fostering strong relationships with patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams through effective communication, including bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
  • Practice using current clinical practice standards, ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care.
  • Coordinate the documentation and delivery of patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrating teamwork and a commitment to fiscal responsibility.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and research utilization to promote safe and quality patient care.
  • Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education, ensuring a qualified workforce.
  • Support the development of other professionals as preceptors or mentors, ensuring a skilled workforce.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and the decision-making process in evaluating patient care products.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, upholding healthcare system/organizational policies and clinical competencies.
  • Participate in data collection and consult with experts to address practice questions, driving continuous improvement.
  • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum during direct care, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Collaborate with care managers and other healthcare team members to develop protocols and procedures.
  • Optimize the use of human and material resources, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
