Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Spalding Endoscopy Center in Griffin, GA. As a Travel RN - Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal, you will provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients
  • Have contact with the patient in each phase of their experience
  • Be self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • May be required to travel to a sister center
Requirements
  • Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Experience in GI endoscopy preferred
  • Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged
  • Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • ACLS certification is recommended, but optional
  • Completion of Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation
Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands

The ability to work under stress, moderate periods of sitting and computer use, good visual acuity, and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl are required. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds are also necessary.
