PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN ROLE SUMMARY
The primary care physician will deliver essential health services by diagnosing and managing various medical conditions, injuries, and health concerns.
PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
- Stabilize and refer patients requiring urgent attention, regardless of their usual care provider.
- Evaluate and treat patients assigned to other providers, assisting in triage and rescheduling as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with established medical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in obtaining laboratory specimens when challenges arise.
- Engage in administrative tasks as directed by the Medical Director.
- Fulfill all requirements to sustain medical licensure, board certification, or hospital admitting privileges.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as determined by the Medical Director.
- Oversee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants within the physician's area of expertise.
- Act as a mentor for medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistant students, and residents as assigned.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the medical practice.
- Serve as a supervisory physician for mid-level providers regarding clinical matters and compliance with state regulations.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and assist with audits related to practice standards.
- Keep administration informed of any issues that may affect the practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited medical institution with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty.
- Unrestricted medical license to practice in California.
- Valid DEA registration.
- PALS or NRP, ACLS certifications may be required.
PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION: $260K-$300K annually
