  • Facilitating Patient Care
    • Work collaboratively with medical staff to provide timely and quality patient health services.

  • Rooming Patients
    • Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, collecting medical history, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
    • Collect specimens and perform routine diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, audiograms, and vision and hearing screenings.
    • Administer medications and vaccinations as ordered by the provider.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Receive and respond to patient calls and messages, ensuring timely communication with providers.
    • Fax and email correspondence for providers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Coordinate referrals to outside providers and schedule appointments, streamlining the patient care process.
    • Complete pre-visit planning to ensure all necessary information and reports are available for provider review.
  • Stocking and Cleaning
    • Responsible for daily stocking and cleaning of patient rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
    • Perform infection control procedures, including regular cleaning and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
    • Report maintenance and cleaning service issues to management, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Customer Service
    • Foster positive relationships between patients, families, and outside agencies, facilitating coordination of care.
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
    • Alert patients to provider changes or delays in schedule, ensuring transparency and clear communication.
Requirements
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Utilize exceptional customer service skills to positively impact the patient experience.

    • Identify problems, develop solutions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Education and Experience
    • Previous clinical experience is preferred, or equivalent education and skills.
    • Medical terminology and X-ray Limited Scope certification are preferred, with compensation provided.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
    • EMT License and LPN License are required.
    • BLS certification is necessary.
  • Physical Demands
    • Standing for extended periods, with some bending, stooping, and stretching.
    • May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Work Environment
    • Work is performed in a clinic office environment, with possible exposure to communicable disease and medical preparations.
