Job Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The onshore role requires a comprehensive understanding of field operations combined with advanced technical expertise to oversee the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repair of instrumentation, including control valves, regulators, flow meters, and various protective safety devices.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems and devices up to 66kV, encompassing transmitters, industrial batteries, UPS systems, motors, generators, switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and lighting circuits.
  • Maintain and repair analyzers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute repairs on radio and microwave sites, including emergency generators and related equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on projects and system enhancements.
  • May be tasked with training and mentoring less experienced technicians as necessary.
  • May be required to undertake additional job-related duties outside of primary responsibilities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the oil field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in personal computer usage, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Continuous education and experience as an instrument and electrical technician through both hands-on and formal training are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Must follow directions from supervisors.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts, with potential for overtime as required.
  • On-site presence is necessary.

COMPENSATION:

  • Hourly pay range: $52 - $60.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position necessitates manual dexterity for handling documents and operating office equipment such as copiers, printers, and computers. It also involves performing repetitive motions and enduring extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires professional interaction and communication with others, problem-solving, and the ability to concentrate on tasks while distinguishing colors and depth perception.

Physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, crawling, pushing, reaching, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs. while walking, as well as lifting heavier weights to waist and shoulder levels. The role involves traversing uneven terrain and accessing outdoor areas around equipment, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
