Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Interior Architect to join our team at Boffi San Francisco. As a key member of our showroom team, you will be responsible for providing design assistance, creating detailed AutoCAD drawings, and participating in client meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Assistance: Collaborate with our design team to create kitchen, bath, and wall system plans, as well as floor layouts.
  • AutoCAD Drafting: Create accurate and precise 2D AutoCAD drawings for furniture layouts and space planning.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, providing design recommendations and solutions.
  • Material Selection: Assist in selecting finishes and materials that meet client preferences and project needs.
  • Site Visits: Accompany design associates on client site visits for assessments, conceptualization, and design validation.
  • Documentation: Develop and manage spec sheets for products, ensuring comprehensive and organized documentation on digital platforms.
  • Presentation Preparation: Create engaging PowerPoint presentations for product launches and sales meetings.
  • Standards Improvement: Assist in reviewing and updating AutoCAD drawing standards to improve accuracy and workflow.
  • Product Training: Engage in training sessions to stay informed about new products and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required; 3D experience is a plus), with a strong understanding of space planning and material selection.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using Apple computers.
  • Measuring and Surveying: Strong skills in measuring and site surveying to ensure accurate design and implementation.
