Core Duties:

  • Inventory Balance: Identify and introduce new parts for stock while phasing out non-performing items and ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
  • Stock Control: Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and avoid obsolete items.
  • Customer Care: Effectively manage customer interactions and ensure their needs are met while balancing departmental finances.
  • Responsibility: Prepare to present solution-oriented insights in dealership and departmental meetings.
  • Market Expansion: Drive sales growth by analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Team Management: Establish a Parts Department focused on attracting top talent, ongoing training, and consistent performance accountability.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Parts Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing a high-volume retail operation in the RV, automotive, marine, or power sports sectors is highly desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated success in assessing and optimizing the layout and structure of a retail department.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication abilities with experience in explaining parts and accessory options, building customer relationships, and collaborating with colleagues.

  • Labor Efficiency: Increase gross profit generated per labor dollar spent.
