Job Title: Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals. As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by continuously monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, responding to alarms, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to abnormal rhythms and artifacts.
  • Verify correct identification of basic and lethal rhythms, and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, and waveform alterations.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
