Monitor Technician

Job Summary:
The Monitor Technician is a vital member of the Northside Hospital Inc. team, responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to provide immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms to RNs and/or clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and provide real-time updates to healthcare professionals
- Identify and report any changes in cardiac rhythms, including arrhythmias and other abnormal heart rhythms
- Collaborate with RNs and/or clinicians to develop and implement plans of care for patients with cardiac rhythm abnormalities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required
- One or more years of experience working as a Monitor Technician preferred
- Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework with a passing score required
- CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification through CCI preferred
Work Schedule:
7PM - 7:30AM, including weekends
