The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of purchasing and vendor-related activities within the Penn Primary Care and Penn Specialty Practices areas of Penn Medicine Medical Group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for returns and receivers issues
  • Assisting with invoice resolution processes, including credit holds and receipts
  • Working with McKesson statements and BO reports to resolve EDI holds
  • Supporting daily work processes for Invoiced Not Received (INR) issues related to Blanket and Standing orders
  • Communicating with vendors to rectify and control INR Blanket and Standing orders issues
  • Collaborating with the RNI team on conflicting issues related to INR
  • Using Lawson INR reports to monitor and improve INR Blanket and Standing orders discrepancies
  • Supporting the RNI team with Received Not Invoice (RNI) reports and Blanket/Standing orders
  • Providing support for unreleased receivers reports
  • Functioning as a liaison for running system reports
  • Assisting with backorder issues and resolution

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 5+ years of experience in a medical office setting in an administrative or operations support role. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain are preferred.
