Deckhand - Marine Operations

Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join its Marine Division as a Deckhand. This is a critical role that requires a high level of physical fitness and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleanliness and operational readiness of the towboat and barges.
• Perform wiring and attachment duties to secure barges to the boat for transit.
• Contribute to safe passage of the boat and barges, including line handling and communication duties.
• Act as a safety leader and environmental steward.

Requirements:

• Ability to complete a health questionnaire and pass a physical abilities test.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Maritime industry experience, with pay rate dependent on experience.
