Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Bar Tender to enhance our operations at VELVET ROOM LLC. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the daily functions of the bar, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with management to create bartender and staff schedules.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in conjunction with management.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Design and update drink and food menus.
  • Manage employee schedules effectively.
  • Keep the bar area well-stocked and clean.
  • Analyze customer preferences and sales trends.
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints and monitor expenses.
  • Document drink recipes for consistency.
  • Plan and coordinate special events.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately among staff members.
  • Source and purchase liquor and other necessary supplies.
  • Curate music selections and provide input on ambiance and marketing strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Utilize point-of-sale technology for efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is a plus.
  • Must be legally permitted to serve alcohol.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bartending, serving, or management within the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Physical ability to stand, move, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds during shifts.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
