Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in providing quality patient care by performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care.
  • Perform basic technical skills, including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Document relevant patient care data and maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas.
  • Provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
Requirements
  • Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility.
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lift patients and equipment as needed. The successful candidate will also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
