We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Assist professional nursing personnel in providing quality patient care by performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care.
- Perform basic technical skills, including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Document relevant patient care data and maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas.
- Provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
- Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility.
- Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lift patients and equipment as needed. The successful candidate will also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
