Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Flexon Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-quality garden hoses.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a journeyman-level electrician to perform complex technical work on electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have experience in installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems, as well as strong problem-solving skills.

The Electrical Systems Specialist will be responsible for inspecting and testing elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions, performing required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits in accordance with applicable Electrical Industry Codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform journeyman-level electrical work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Inspect and test elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
  • Maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems, including power supply lines up to 600 volts, to ensure they are safe and meet requirements for electrical power.
  • Reduce the need to purchase new/replacement electric motors by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing single and three-phase electric motors.
  • Provide technical assistance in the purchase of new or replacement electrical and electro-mechanical equipment or systems.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or the equivalent plus completion of a certifying technical training program in electrical maintenance or completion of an electrician's apprenticeship is required.
  • Work experience in electrical maintenance beyond that required for the position may be substituted for the required education, technical training, or apprenticeship.
  • The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics is required.
  • The ability to use electrical test equipment and small hand and power tools is required.
Working Conditions

The Electrical Systems Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to hazardous materials, chemicals, and electrical currents. The position requires working at heights and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and excellent benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
