Job Summary

Atlantic Tractor LLC is seeking a highly skilled Service Operations Manager to lead our dealership's service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing return on investment by optimizing service department processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Goal Setting and Budgeting: Assist the Aftermarket Manager in creating annual Service Department goals and budget, aligning with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
  • Marketing and Sales: Work with the Aftermarket Manager to develop, execute, and monitor the Service Department marketing plan to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive continuous service and parts process improvements.
  • Sales Growth and Expense Control: Identify new opportunities and develop actionable plans to grow service and parts sales while maintaining disciplined expense control.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Identify and improve operational effectiveness of the department's mobile vehicles and other assets.
  • Customer Engagement: Coordinate customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events.
  • Warranty and Claims: Ensure that all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims are submitted within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
  • Employee Scheduling and Development: Schedule and assign job and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze Service department reports; use data to help drive improvement and growth.
  • Customer Support: Resource for Service to help resolve invoice issues and customer complaints.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Department Maintenance: Ensure departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
  • Recruiting and Staffing: Assist the Aftermarket Manager with recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and promote all Safety guidelines set forth by the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Service Department Operations preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment; basic understanding of financial principles relative to the Service and Parts Department operations.
  • License: Valid Driver's license required.

The salary range for this position is $60k-$75k based on experience.
