Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to build loyalty and repeat business.
- Assist in preparing insurance claims and obtaining approval for refill prescriptions from physicians.
- Work with the Pharmacist Preceptor to learn all functions of the pharmacist's job, including counseling patients on their medications.
- Support the provision of immunizations in-store and with local employers, community centers, and government officials.
- Answer patient questions in the OTC aisles and become familiar with products offered there.
- Assist in Medication Therapy Management activities, including preparing information for pharmacists to complete Comprehensive Medication reviews and participating in these meetings with patients.
- Seek out opportunities to educate at senior centers, employers, doctor's offices, public officials, and other community gatherings.
- Make antibiotic call backs after 3 days of patient being on antibiotic to see if the therapy is helping and if the patient has any questions or concerns.
