Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Global Recruitment Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering projects within a design and development program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management, with experience in directing high-level engineering analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the budgeting process to recommend capital improvements and prepare justification data as required.
  • Research and propose the use of new technologies to develop new and improved products.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
  • Communicate project objectives to team members and enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability, and direct the preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
  • Create and maintain project documentation for project planning, requirements analysis, risk management, issues management, status reporting, project communication, and quality assurance.
  • Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support, and analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed and documented, and provide leadership to a technical staff to ensure program success.
  • Establish priorities for work delegated to others, and provide management/leadership to technical staff including resource planning, scheduling, and administration to ensure program success.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations, and obtain a secret security clearance as required by job duties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering.
  • 8-plus years related experience.
  • Experience with vehicle performance attribute management and verification, requirements compliance verification and validation, and managing and tracking program level Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) execution and progress.
  • Experience with a high-level CAD system, PMP certification, and strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and related systems.
  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills.
Notes:

The Senior Project Engineer role on the vehicle platform team is responsible for leading vehicle engineering projects with experience in attributes like corrosion and noise.
