Job Summary

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the budgeting process and recommending capital improvements
  • Researching and proposing the use of new technologies
  • Maintaining effective communication with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Communicating project objectives and progress to team members and stakeholders
  • Ensuring that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures
  • Evaluating designs for performance, safety, and reliability
  • Directing the preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation
  • Performing engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials
  • Providing technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support
  • Analyzing and resolving issues reported to Engineering
  • Providing guidance to team members to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed and documented
  • Providing leadership to technical staff to ensure program success
  • Establishing priorities for work delegated to others
  • Providing management/leadership to technical staff including resource planning, scheduling, and administration
  • Preparing technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations
Requirements

The Senior Engineer must have:

  • A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
  • 8-plus years related experience
Preferred Skills

The Senior Engineer should have:

  • Experience with vehicle performance attribute management and verification
  • Experience with requirements compliance verification and validation
  • Experience managing and tracking program level Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) execution and progress
  • Experience with a high-level CAD system
  • PMP certification
  • Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and related systems
  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
