Cardiology Section Chief Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to lead our Cardiology Section at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
This is an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and expertise in leading teams in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, direct, and control the management and delivery of quality Cardiology services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and its outpatient clinics.
- Collaborate with leadership and provide oversight on the inpatient, hospital, and ambulatory cardiology programs both at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and with community outreach for care coordination.
- Create processes, staff oversight, provider recruitment, and establish relationships with hospital leaders and services lines.
- Ensure services comply with all hospital and regulatory agency standards and procedures and ensure compliance with all medical functions and maintain all requirements of The Joint Commission and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.
- Grow the service lines within the Department, providing visionary leadership that enhances existing programs and drives the development of new initiatives.
- Function as a Cardiologist in your area of expertise as a member of the Heart and Vascular Service, with clinical opportunities including non-invasive, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure cardiology for both inpatient and ambulatory services based upon your preferences.
- Perform consults, testing, and provide care in outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
- Hold an academic appointment if desired at University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

- Experienced in leadership and clinical Cardiology.
- Interested in all aspects of cardiac care and rehabilitation and teaching fellows, with academic affiliation at UCONN and/or Quinnipiac.
- Interested in a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
- Board Certified in Cardiology.
- Licensed in Connecticut.
- US ACGME residency trained.
