Teleradiology Coordinator Job Description

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Teleradiology Coordinator to provide critical administrative support to the team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely return of patient study results to contracted sites, facilitating patient care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register radiographic studies and patient information to facilitate efficient processing and timely turnaround times.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Faculty, Residents, and Fellows/Clinical Instructors to ensure seamless clinical administrative support.
  • Work with contracted sites to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate patient information.
  • Manage image transmission issues and provide technical advice to outside sites.
  • Provide cross-coverage and cross-training for coworkers to ensure continuity of services.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • At least one year of relevant experience

This is a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The position may require occasional travel to attend meetings and programs.
