Position Overview

The Radiology Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of radiological reports and audits. This position involves a thorough review and analysis of EPIC Reading Room documentation, while collaborating with various teams to address corrective actions and resolve quality assurance observations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Management: Maintain and oversee the audit database, ensuring all information is accurate and complete with the support of the Information Systems department.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal radiology departments to facilitate audits and ensure comprehensive quality assurance activities.
  • Training and Support: Provide relevant training and support to department staff, enhancing their understanding of systems such as EPIC PACS and Power Scribe.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and monitor data related to mis-dictations in both preliminary and final radiological reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage with multiple functional groups to promote ongoing enhancements within the radiology department.
  • Oversight of Reading Rooms: Monitor physician reading rooms to ensure optimal functioning and compliance with quality standards.
  • Participation in Focus Groups: Actively support and participate in departmental focus groups aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Compensation

Position Compensation Range: $23.36 Hourly

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Licensure: No specific licensure required.
Physical Demands

This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
