Overview
The Office of Legislative IT is looking for an Audio-Visual (AV) Systems Coordinator. This essential role involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, operation, and enhancement of audio-visual systems and technologies. The AV Coordinator plays a crucial part in evaluating new solutions and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine optimal placement and integration of AV equipment.
- Ensure the functionality of projectors, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording, and videoconferencing tools for live events and meetings.
- Address and resolve routine inquiries and technical challenges, escalating issues as necessary.

Position Details
This is a full-time role, and the comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance and retirement plans. The position may require flexible hours during legislative sessions.

Compensation
Starting salary of $60,175, with initial offers based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in audio-visual production, video production, multimedia operations, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in audio-visual production.

Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of AV technologies, including architectural, cabling, and control system requirements.
  • Technical expertise in integrating AV systems with existing IT infrastructures.
  • Current awareness of AV technologies and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in video conferencing and broadcast/streaming systems.
  • Ability to assist clients with assistive technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively based on project needs.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with a commitment to engaging with legislators, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain a nonpartisan stance in a political context.
