About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake screenings and assessments of applicants applying for emergency shelter, SUS/Palladia Veterans Services & Homebase.
  • Communicate programs eligibility and admission criteria to applicants.
  • Navigate applicants through the intake process, providing referrals when necessary for immediate services.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred.
  • Out in the field approximately 75% of the time throughout Nassau and Suffolk County.
  • Required to meet Veterans out in the field, either using their personal vehicle or the company vehicle. A clean driving record is required if using a company vehicle.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
