Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lab Technologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely specimen processing, testing, and resulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions in the laboratory information system.
  • Collect, process, and store specimens in an adequate and timely manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, supply upkeep, and quality control with appropriate documentation, coordination, and communication.
  • Deliver service excellence, One Team collaboration, and quality patient care through adjusting communication styles to adapt to various cultural differences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
  • American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and computer skills.
Work Environment

The Clinical Lab Technologist will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals, medications, and biohazard waste. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
