Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mold Maintenance Technician to join our team at LMT - Hartville. As a Mold Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing diversified duties related to the maintenance of molds and related manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on molds to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
• Conduct mold insert changes and minor mold repairs as per engineering instructions.
• Polish molds to maintain their surface quality and prevent damage.
• Store, inventory, and locate molds, inserts, tools, and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
• Assist with shipping and receiving molds, ensuring they are properly handled and stored.
• Maintain a clean and organized mold shop, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Communicate all mold issues to engineering and provide training to manufacturing personnel on changeovers and supporting documentation.
• Perform other projects as instructed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be able to use micrometers and calipers accurately.
• Must work safely and use all necessary safety precautions.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must understand and demonstrate all safety requirements for the use and handling of molds and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be an accomplished setup person with a working knowledge of mold storage and handling, with a minimum of 1 year of experience handling molds.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, with heavier weights necessary at times.
