POSITION OVERVIEW

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

This role involves following established protocols and procedures to prepare examination or treatment areas, assist patients, and perform routine medical tasks and diagnostic evaluations. You will also aid healthcare providers during patient assessments and ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities. Additionally, you will handle patient reception and various administrative responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up examination and treatment areas with the required supplies and equipment.
- Deliver high-quality patient service by warmly welcoming patients and confirming their details.
- Measure vital signs and carry out routine medical tasks as instructed.
- Support healthcare providers during assessments and treatments by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Conduct blood draws and minor laboratory tests on-site.
- Perform related administrative tasks such as answering calls and managing patient records.
- Adhere to established procedures for scheduling patient referrals and following up with patients who miss appointments.

Ensure that patient consents are secured for procedures, review patient files for any missing documentation, and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
- Keep examination and service areas clean and organized, and dispose of used materials properly.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and contribute suggestions for enhancing patient care outcomes.
- Foster positive working relationships with healthcare providers, colleagues, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No prior experience is necessary, as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, communicate effectively, and deliver direct patient care across diverse age groups.
