To provide high-quality care and support to patients in their homes, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Visit patients in their homes to provide occupational therapy services as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Communicate with the treatment team regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Teach patients and families about therapy plans and provide education on self-care and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment documentation and charges for each patient.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant is required.
- Nationally certified or licensed in Missouri and Kansas.
- Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
- CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The associate will work in a home health setting, visiting patients in their homes. The associate will be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical and Mental DemandsThe associate will be required to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and walk to accomplish tasks. The associate will also be required to have good communication and problem-solving skills.
