About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team at RPM Living. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and respond to emergency maintenance requests and after-hours assignments
  • Complete work orders and maintenance tasks within 24-48 hours, updating records in our computer system
  • Document all maintenance activities and communicate clearly with residents, team members, and supervisors
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of issues, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and exterior maintenance
  • Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain the community's aesthetics and structural integrity
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies, including OSHA regulations and safety/environmental laws
  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance team members, other departments, and external contractors to ensure seamless property maintenance
  • Conduct proactive preventive maintenance activities to avoid potential issues and uphold the quality of the property
  • Assess property safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing resident well-being
Requirements
  • One year of multifamily maintenance experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • High school diploma or GED – Preferred
  • EPA certification required
  • CPO – Preferred
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license – Required
Work Environment

This role is based on site and requires that the employee spend time outside with exposure to the elements. May require working in confined spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous areas.
