Position Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the facilities manager at Crusoe Manufacturing by overseeing the maintenance of all onsite equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, managing implementation processes, and establishing a robust preventative maintenance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve high and low voltage electrical issues, coordinating plans, materials, and teams to minimize downtime and maintain power supply lines as necessary.
  • Facilitate vendor management, ensuring that third-party maintenance service providers meet our quality and compliance standards.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local safety regulations, providing technical support to the Facilities Team, including the development of Lockout/Tagout programs and management of Preventative Maintenance Software (UpKeep).
  • Schedule and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including motors, generators, control panels, and safety devices across various facilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams on new electrical projects and modifications.
  • Conduct electrical isolation procedures on single-phase and multi-phase power systems.
  • Manage the Electrical Maintenance Program, ensuring effective collaboration with maintenance supervisors and engineers.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout plans for internal and external personnel to uphold safe working practices.
  • Support compliance audits and quality assurance reviews, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Interpret technical documents, including Bills of Materials and instructional manuals, to integrate into Preventative Maintenance Software.
  • Plan maintenance activities, including parts procurement and the creation of clear work instructions.
  • Maintain records of work orders awaiting planning and scheduling based on priority.
  • Monitor and manage the department's preventative maintenance workload, reviewing schedules and labor availability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, plant equipment, and high/low voltage power distribution.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and amp meters.
  • Experience in building trades, including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain optimal facility conditions.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with management and peers.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in high and low voltage electrical systems, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience collaborating with production and scheduling teams to optimize maintenance activities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $25 - $30 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
