Job Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing prepared food on plates/trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service
  • Place prepared food on plates/trays according to tray tickets
  • Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Specialized training in food service desirable
  • Current ServSafe certification required by State/County law
  • Food Handler's card required
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
