Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in procedures aimed at evaluating, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular issues.
  • Prepare patients for various procedures.
  • Review patient medical histories, position patients appropriately, and prepare testing sites as necessary.
  • Interpret and report test outcomes; identify and address recording errors and artifacts.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any concerning changes in their condition.
  • Maintain and prepare necessary equipment, supplies, and laboratory areas.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any potential issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • May prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Must obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or transfer. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Required Credentials:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) prior to hire or transfer.
  • Cardiographic Technician credential from CCI prior to hire or transfer. Non-certified associates hired before a specified date are exempt from this requirement.
  • Cardiographic Technician specializing in Invasive Vascular Cardiology credential from CCI prior to hire or transfer. Non-certified associates hired before a specified date are exempt from this requirement.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) prior to hire or transfer. Non-certified associates hired before a specified date are exempt from this requirement.

Educational Background:
High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience is required.
