Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cardiologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Cardiologist at Nashville General Hospital, you will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of patients with cardiovascular conditions, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and managing chronic cardiovascular diseases.
Responsibilities- Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with cardiovascular conditions, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, perform diagnostic tests, interpret diagnostic results, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care, communicate effectively with patients and their families, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical conferences.
- Clinical Research and Education: Engage in clinical research activities, contribute to the advancement of cardiology, stay current with the latest research and advancements in cardiovascular medicine, and mentor and provide guidance to medical residents and fellows.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Training: Completed an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology.
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine preferred, new graduates with exceptional training will be considered.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
