Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Local Shuttle Driver. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting semi-trailers between our local plants, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload ingredients and supplies from trucks at receiving docks or warehouses using a forklift and stack materials in a proper manner.
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies received and notify supervisors of the need to reorder materials and supplies for placement in inventory.
  • Supply packaging and supplies to plants as requested to ensure uninterrupted filling line operations and rotate material in the warehouse using the FIFO method.
  • Consistently move product by batch codes, quantity, and product numbers for plants using the SAP system and RF equipment.
  • Store and retrieve product in a FIFO manner using a computer.
  • May operate company vehicles to deliver products or pick up supplies as directed from all warehouses in and out of town.
  • Perform light maintenance on company forklifts and trucks, including daily equipment checklists.
  • Perform cleaning duties on vehicles and ensure they are properly serviced as required.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of related experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift operator's license and valid Class A motor vehicle license or willingness to obtain a Class A Driver's license within a specified timeframe.
  • Ability to operate single and tandem axle trucks, forklifts, and pallet movers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Pass all CDL physicals and pass a drug and alcohol test, including random testing.
  • Comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
