Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. The ideal candidate will have experience in abdominal and vascular imaging, with excellent technical skills and strong communication abilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, interpreting images, and communicating results to patients and physicians. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations using advanced equipment and techniques.
  • Interpret images and communicate results to patients and physicians in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current imaging modalities, protocols, and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth and development of the department.
Requirements
  • RDMS registration with Abdomen or OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
  • RVT registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or VS registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associate's degree in Allied Health or Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Science.
  • 1 year of experience in abdominal and/or vascular imaging preferred.
