Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Oncology Unit team at EvergreenHealth. As a Unit Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Observe and document patient vital signs, activity, and symptoms, and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.
  2. Assist with patient transportation, including moving patients to and from bed to gurney or wheelchair, and transporting patients, belongings, and medical supplies to and from various locations.
  3. Respond to patient inquiries, answer call lights, and determine the nature of the problem, responding within scope or obtaining appropriate resources.
  4. Assist RNs and other healthcare providers with wound care and patient procedures as directed.
  5. Accountable for following attendance, punctuality, and dependability guidelines, and for completing responsibilities within designated timeframes.
Requirements

REQUIRED for the position:

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in the State of Washington.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures in the care of the specific age group to which assigned.
