Key Responsibilities:
This role involves assisting in the repair and refurbishment of equipment, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems to meet customer requirements efficiently, accurately, and punctually.
Deliver service to our clientele by repairing and overhauling equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that surpasses customer expectations. Conduct general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors safely and promptly.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks for clients by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operational deficiencies to ensure high-quality performance.
Provide departmental support by processing job tickets and work orders promptly.Offer necessary training to new or less experienced technicians as required.
Engage in minor construction and remodeling projects, including the initiation of new installations.
Operate the company vehicle safely.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. EPA certification.
Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is advantageous.
Clean driving record.
Knowledge of commercial refrigeration, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical components.
Proficient understanding of single systems, parallel rack systems, display cases, and walk-in coolers. 5-7 years of experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical systems is required.
Experience working with refrigeration equipment in convenience and supermarket environments.Ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair computer controls and commercial refrigeration systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. independently and able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
