Position Summary
American Neighborhood Mortgage Acceptance Company LLC is seeking a dedicated Team Mortgage Loan Originator to collaborate with an experienced Branch Manager while expanding their own client portfolio. Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience in the mortgage sector. Under the guidance of the Branch Manager, the External Mortgage Loan Originator Partner will be responsible for the following:
- Primarily engage in selling mortgage products to clients outside of the company’s physical locations, with office work serving as a supplementary function.
- Foster and cultivate relationships with referral sources, including real estate professionals, to enhance customer acquisition.
- Generate new business opportunities by establishing and maintaining connections with realtors, title and escrow professionals, financial advisors, and accountants.
- Develop a strategy for engaging with existing leads and past clients in coordination with the Branch Manager.
- Actively participate in mortgage sales activities, including attending closings, open houses, and hosting seminars to generate leads.
- Assist clients in completing loan applications by gathering necessary information.
- Evaluate prospective borrowers' financial situations to pre-qualify them for mortgage options.
- Guide clients through the home buying and financing journey, explaining various loan products and their implications on costs and payments.
- Collect essential financial documentation, such as tax returns and bank statements, as part of the application process.
- Provide necessary disclosures to clients, including truth in lending and good faith estimates.
- Advise clients on resolving credit issues that may affect their loan applications.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, realtors, and lenders throughout the application process to ensure a smooth experience.
- Order and review legal documents as required.
- Conduct final reviews of HUD statements prior to closing.
- Possession of the appropriate state license or certification (requirements vary by state).
- Comprehensive understanding of pricing and underwriting standards from various mortgage insurance providers.
- Knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility criteria for various loan programs.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to mortgage lending.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Self-motivated with a strong sales orientation.
