Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain proficiency in various oxygen delivery methods and associated equipment, while monitoring for potential side effects
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purposes and possible side effects
  • Set up and oversee mechanical ventilators, performing critical care tasks such as airway management and tracheal suctioning
  • Assess patient pain levels that may hinder optimal rehabilitation participation, coordinating with physicians for necessary interventions
  • Conduct arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, being aware of potential complications and contraindications
  • Perform EKGs, prepare report interpretations, and ensure proper documentation and filing of reports
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid State Respiratory Therapist License
  • Graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current CPR certification (specify BLS or ACLS)
  • A minimum of three years of experience in comprehensive cardiopulmonary services is highly preferred
Compensation is set at $50.00 per hour. While this is the expected pay range for this position, variations may occur based on specific circumstances.
