Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at International Staff Consulting. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in collecting and processing blood samples for laboratory testing. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for permanent placement.
Responsibilities:
Collect and store blood samples according to established procedures.
Explain the blood collection process to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
Requirements:
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM.
Location:
Syracuse, NY.
Projected Duration:
3 months + potential for permanent placement.
