Loan Processing Specialist

Civista Bank is seeking a highly skilled Loan Processing Specialist to join our team. As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will play a critical role in expediting the consumer loan process, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Loan Application Verification: Verify consumer loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and bank policies.
• Documentation Management: Order and review vendor services, including Flood Determination Reports, FACT Title Reports, and AVM's/TAV's/1-4 Family Property Reports or Full Appraisals.
• Insurance Verification: Request vehicle insurance declaration pages for vehicle secured loans and hazard, flood, and condominium declaration pages for HELOC's.
• Payoff Information Collection: Assist lenders with collecting payoff information for both internal and external obligations.
• Exception Approvals and Residual Income Calculations: Request exception approvals and residual income calculation requests to underwriting when applicable to the loan.
• Loan Closing Documents: Prepare and print loan closing documents directly to the lender's branch printer.
• Verbal Verification of Employment: Complete verbal verification of employment prior to loan closing.
• Document Indexing: Separate and index loan documents into the OnBase system, verifying all documents are present and accurate according to Civista Bank's policies.
• Denied Loan Applications: Perform a second review and process denied loan applications, including sending the borrower the Notice of Action taken within the required time frame.
• Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and proactive communication with lenders and other departments, including IT, Private Banking, and Loan Operations underwriting, booking, and servicing.

• Qualifications: Three plus years of related experience originating or processing consumer loans.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Skills: Significant level of trust and diplomacy required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Outside contacts are important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (customers, vendors, etc.) is necessary.
