Housekeeping Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at Equinox in San Mateo. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our fitness facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the club and exercise equipment are clean and well-maintained, providing excellent customer service to members, prospective members, and guests.
  • Maintain the sidewalk entrance and lobby, ensuring they are presentable and welcoming.
  • Clean the locker room and stock all locker room consumables, including towels and other essentials.
  • Clean and organize storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms, ensuring they are tidy and well-organized.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of towels on the exercise floor, ensuring members have access to clean towels at all times.
  • Provide maintenance for all equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery as needed.
  • Receive and store all deliveries, ensuring they are properly logged and stored.
  • Assist with special events, such as cleaning and setting up event spaces.
  • Notify the Housekeeping Manager when any rooms or equipment need immediate attention, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in cleaning and laundry services is highly preferred.
  • Ability to service athletic equipment, including cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities.
