Key Responsibilities
  • Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity, and caring.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
Requirements
  • Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs: CST (or NCCT) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Currently validated CPR skills preferred.
