Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Services Coordinator II to join our team at the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in promoting fair housing and combating illegal housing discrimination in Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake and Case Management: Provide counseling and assistance to housing consumers on fair housing laws and regulations. Conduct intake of complaints alleging violations of fair housing laws and interview potential complainants to obtain complete and accurate information.
  • Fair Housing Outreach and Education: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, social service agencies, and other groups to raise awareness of fair housing issues and services provided by our organization. Conduct informational presentations and recruit volunteers and members.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed and confidential records pertaining to complaints and assist with reports to funding sources as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English: Must be fluent in both languages to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
  • Commitment to Fair Housing: Strong commitment to the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council's mission and vigorous enforcement of fair housing laws.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Experience providing direct client services, maintaining records, and working in civil rights enforcement is preferred. Excellent public speaking, listening, and written communication skills are essential.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $47,250 - $57,750, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule of in-person and remote work. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
