Job Summary

The Health and Safety (H&S) Intern will support the POET Bioprocessing team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our bioprocessing facilities. The H&S Intern will be responsible for analyzing data, developing reports, suggesting improvements, and facilitating the implementation of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of digital training materials to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Support the operations oversight of POET Bioprocessing in the areas of injury prevention and safety program implementation.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to bioprocessing safety compliance programs.
  • Develop implementation plans for continuous improvement projects.
  • Travel to bioprocessing facilities for training, project analysis, and meetings.
  • Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.
  • Maintain a team environment and champion POET's values in the community.
Requirements
  • Junior or Senior level status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineering, or Health and Safety related program.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn new programs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment

POET values a culture of teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence. This role operates in an office environment with some travel required.
