Emergency Department Technician

About the Role:The Emergency Department Technician is a vital member of our team, responsible for assisting professional nurses in delivering patient care, transporting patients and equipment, and maintaining patient rooms. This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist nurses in delivering patient care, including vital signs, wound care, and medication administration
- Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain patient rooms, restocking supplies and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and report any issues to management
- Document patient care activities and procedures on the nursing record
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment
- Current EMT or ERT certification, or Paramedic certification, or certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry, or enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, or six months of recent direct patient care experience in an acute care, long term care, or home care setting
- Previous Emergency Room experience as an Emergency Room Scribe, paramedic, ERT, EMT, EDT, or ED EMS
- Current CNA or NST experience
