Position Summary:
The chosen candidate will utilize small hand tools, sandblasting equipment, and tumblers to refine mechanical components. Strong hand-eye coordination is essential, along with the capability to perform various roles within the Finishing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deburr components using hand tools to eliminate burrs.
- Polish parts with different hand tools to address blemishes and imperfections.
- Operate shot blast machinery, including loading and unloading.
- Fill the shot-blasting equipment's holding tank with stainless steel media as needed.
- Inspect and measure parts for quality assurance.
- Manage the loading and unloading of the tumbler while organizing parts according to job specifications.
- Remove media from parts using appropriate hand tools.
- Perform various finishing techniques, including buffing, polishing, grinding, deburring, and etching on manufactured products.
- Ensure the finished size and quality meet specified drawings and standards.
- Conduct routine visual inspections and utilize basic measuring tools.
- Develop skills through training or extensive work experience.
- Work within established guidelines with moderate supervision.
- Recognize and resolve common issues that arise in the work area independently, selecting solutions from established options.
- Impact the quality of personal work.
- Communicate effectively to share information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with safety protocols.
- Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
