Position Summary:
The chosen candidate will engage in the finishing processes of mechanical components using various hand tools, sandblasting, and tumbling techniques. A keen eye for detail and the capability to adapt to multiple roles within the Finishing Department are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Utilize small hand tools to deburr components, ensuring a smooth finish.
· Employ polishing tools to eliminate surface blemishes and imperfections.
· Operate shot blast machinery, including loading and unloading materials.
· Manage stainless steel media for shot-blasting operations as required.
· Conduct inspections and measurements of finished parts.
· Organize and maintain parts in accordance with job specifications.
· Remove media from finished products using appropriate tools.
· Execute various finishing techniques such as buffing, polishing, grinding, and etching.
· Ensure compliance with size and quality standards as per technical drawings.
· Perform routine visual inspections and utilize basic measuring instruments.
· Develop skills through training and practical experience.
· Work within established guidelines with moderate supervision.
· Understand the relationship of assigned tasks to team objectives.
· No supervisory duties are included in this role.
· Identify and resolve common issues in the work area independently, selecting solutions from established options.
· Contribute to the quality of personal work output.
· Communicate effectively to share information with team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with safety protocols is preferred.
- Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
