ABOUT US: At PeopleShare, we are looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and operational. We seek an individual with a solid background in building upkeep, renovations, and repairs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and grounds maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff to enhance skills and foster continuous improvement.
- Engage in quality enhancement initiatives, including participation in improvement teams and contributing to program assessments.
- Oversee construction, renovation, and rehabilitation projects for our facilities.
- Ensure plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures are maintained and repaired in accordance with building regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Paint and maintain the interior and exterior surfaces of our buildings.
- Manage the upkeep of boilers, hot water systems, and heating units.
- Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
- Inspect agency vehicles regularly.
- Provide recommendations for the effective use, repair, purchase, or maintenance of the physical plant.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Estimate and submit lists of necessary materials when they are not readily available.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience:
- High school diploma with 3 to 5 years of practical maintenance experience.
- Proficient in standard tools, materials, and methods used in maintenance and repair, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including BOCA, OSHA, and NFPA.
- Preferred specialized training, licenses, or experience in a specific trade.
